My appreciation of entertainment and the arts is lifelong.
Passionate about writing, reading, and media, I earned my Masters from DePaul University in 2020 in Communication and Media concentrating in Media and Cinema Studies.
I worked at DePaul’s writing center for four-and-a-half years as a student office manager and head writing tutor. I interned at 4 Chicago-land radio stations in 2017. That same year, I joined a select cohort from DePaul’s Public Relations and Advertising program to visit 12 of New York City’s largest advertising and communications agencies. I’ve remained inspired to develop meaningful communications that connect with large audiences in big cities.
Post-grad, I got into copywriting at a content marketing agency and later worked in association management as a communications coordinator.
These days, I remain agency-side where I manage finances and communications at a high-fashion modeling agency. I also create a historic Chicago movie theater’s weekly newsletter sent to over 27000 people. I am eager to continue creating wide-reaching communications connecting passionate communities and audiences to their city and to each other. In my free time, you can find me volunteering at a music or film festival. Or waiting patiently in a Ticketmaster queue. Or outside, either on a run or in line at Margie’s Candies.
